Mindy Tan is a Singapore-based documentary photographer adept at capturing people in their everyday lives. 

Ambassador to Fujifilm, she is the first female X-Photographer in South-East Asia, speaking at Fujikina 2017 in Kyoto, Japan. She has exhibited in Cologne, Kyoto, Tokyo and Singapore.

She began her career as a newspaper journalist for migrant labour, winning the Society of Publishers Asia Award for Excellence in Human Rights Reporting in 2007, before swapping words for visuals, to be a photographer. Her assignments vary from lifestyle and documentary to sports.


She has photographed the Beijing Paralympics 2008, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) conference, the Youth Olympics 2010 and WTA Championships 15-17.

Street and documentary photography are her stronghold, recently exhibiting at The Arts House for a commission series on Italy's Motor Valley. Her street work has been featured in UK's The Guardian and Hong Kong’s Photonews 摄影日报.
